A fun concert(s) in LA with my former student Edwin Huizinga, now burning up the concert scene as I knew he would. As well as the repertoire listed below, we'll play the premiere of a new arrangement of mine of some Ellington tunes (for 2 violins - no more, no less!)

Described by its architect as “a house that strives to find balance between two forms with differing natures”, the Floegel-Shetty Residence is a dramatic home of bold metal sheathing, extensive glass walls, and stunning views of Benedict Canyon. Astonishingly versatile and adventurous violinists Mark Fewer — “You could hear jaws dropping in the audience” (The Halifax Chronicle Herald) — and Edwin Huizinga — “star quality and magic” (Monterey Herald) — join forces for a powerhouse program of violin duos through the ages. Duos of Telemann and Prokofiev rub shoulders with the cinematic sounds of Miklós Rózsa and the heavy-metal tinged vibrations of Matthew Hindson’s Chrissietina’s Magic Fantasy
